With FCSB defender Siyabonga Ngezana having missed out on Bafana Bafana’s current squad due to paperwork issues, some are now insisting that the former Kaizer Chiefs star was right for now showing up this after he was snubbed for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The story

Bafana boss Hugo Broos recently explained that Ngezana did not honour his call-up after losing his travel documents. A diplomacy expert has since claimed that he doesn’t buy the player’s story, as there is a South African embassy in Romania, which could have sorted player’s paperwork in time for him to travel to Algeria with the rest of the team.

KickOff readers on Facebook have since had their say on the matter.

“Yes the AFCON bonus was higher than friendlies and it was good for Sundowns players so leave Ngezana alone, he's not interested in Bafana anymore,” says Foster Foster

“South African football has too many politics,” says Siya Aries Xii Gezane.

“I wouldn't blame him even if he lied, I would have done the same if I was overlooked for AFCON while I was in a form of my life and got selected for a friendly against Andorra,” says Thulani Pernel Maseko.

“Then a certain team’s fans will blame Mr Broos if he doesn't call him again. He's becoming big headed now,” says Tsietsi Adams.

“Politics is our freeway to bury SA football,” says S'bonelo Mabeletshitshi Dube.

“I don't think he deserves that call up, there's a lot of young good players in the PSL,” says Zweli Sangweni.

“Maybe the player is not aware of that solution. How many people knew this before reading this article,” says Sbongiseni Dlamini.

“There's no reason to call him, Sundowns defenders are doing well,” says Blessing Snyman.

“What Ngezana did is a good move because of  what happened to him during AFCON,” says Zilindile Carlo Poli.

“The coach doesn't have an obligation to pick him, there are other players,” says Sandile Vellem.

“Just imagine risking it all for a friendly game,” says Sibabalo Ntulini.

“Let him enjoy his time in another foreign country,” says Bobby Seitlhamo.

Meanwhile, former Bafana captain Thulani Hlatshwayo recently availed himself for the national team, however his comments have been met with a resounding disapproval from KO readers.

Lets have a look!

“I remember him cowing in the game against Sudan, yhoo,” says Seisa Majoro.  · “That madala coach doesn't really like other madalas. I think he should just forget and focus on other possibilities,” says Kanye Pamba.

“The genius of own goals,  I will never forget how he used cost us Buccaneers. Hugo must never,” says Sylvia Walker.

“Call up? This guy can’t handle pressure, we all saw him at Pirates,” says Ntokozo Msiza.

“A great leader with the ability to score against his goalkeeper,” says Mogale Mogano.

“If Hugo Broos wanted he would have called him but it's clear he doesn't need his services. It's time to concentrate on Supersport United until you hang up your boots. There are many young defenders on the waiting list,” says Gatsheni Mandla Brighton.

“50 caps for the national team, he had his time. He must just rest,” says Nakedi Sello.

“Thanks Tyson for your contributions in the national team. You have done your best, but now we have got other better players to compete,” says Emmanuel Buthelezi.

“He had his time, now it's time for other players,” says Mlondi Mpanza.

“We must be ready for own goals then,” says Mlu December.

“If Broos sees how South Africans disapprove of Tyson, he will call him just to prove a point,” says Rapelang Raption.

“Modern football needs ball playing defenders, a defender who can control, dribble and pass,” says Musa Dube.
