Casric Stars 0-1 University of Pretoria

It’s the visiting side’s third win on the spin in all competitions, while Stars’ inconsistent campaign in the mid-table spot continues.

Veteran and the free-scoring Samuel Julies got the all-important effort in added time after the match looked certain to conclude in a goalless affair.

Hungry Lions 2-1 NB La Masia

Hungry Lions ended a two-match losing run in all competitions to move into fifth-place and keep their faint top-three hopes alive following a narrow 2-1 victory over NB La Masia.

Di Tau were in the lead at the interval after talisman Raymond Daniels got hold of possession and made full use thereof to pick out the back of the net.

With La Masia clawing level and threatening a draw, the host showed immense resistance to go on and grabbed the winner courtesy of Outopie Modise.

Platinum City Rovers 1-0 Venda Football Academy

Platinum City Rovers defeated the Venda Football Academy 1-0 to halt a six-match winless streak and boosted their fight against relegation.

Milford Stallions 3-0 Upington City

Milford Stallions finally got back on the winning track and ended a six-match winless run in all competitions with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Upington City.

Goals from amongst others Mvelo Zikakayo not only helped Milford to victory but also prevented them falling into the bottom-two positions.

Black Leopards 0-0 Baroka FC

Baroka FC’s promotion hopes in the Motsepe Foundation Championship continued to slip further away following a goalless draw with Black Leopards in the Limpopo derby on Sunday.

It’s a missed opportunity for Bakgaga as the draw denied them third-place, while Leopards remained tenth on the table.

Pretoria Callies 0-2 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United continued to cement the mid-table position and recorded a 2-0 win over Pretoria Callies in a bottom-half contest.

As the first half concluded, the Team of Choice were in the lead following an earlier strike and forced the Romans to come from behind in the hope of salvaging something from the clash.
