Retired Congolese forward Lomana LuaLua insists his career ended with an unfulfilled wish related to playing in South Africa towards the end of his playing days.

LuaLua was born in Kinshasa, DR Congo but then migrated to England as a kid while the then Zaire was bubbling in growing political conflict in the late 1980s.
