Golden Arrows made it back-to-back wins under Steve Komphela after defeating Richards Bay FC 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Arrows had won their previous two encounters against the Natal Rich Boys, including a 2-1 victory at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in August last year.
Coach Steve Komphela handed a start to Kagiso Malinga in the attack, while Nduduzo Sibiya was also recalled after getting the winnning goal off the bench against Polokwane City before international break.
The inclusion of Sibiya paid off the home side, who broke the deadlock in the 28th minute as the winger made it two goals in two games with a lovely flick at the near post.
While the Natal Rich Boyz struggled to carve out any clear chances, Komphela's charges continued to push for a second goal as Mutizwa and Sibiya carved out some openings at the other end.
However, the visitors managed to pull themselves level on the stroke of halftime when striker Somila Ntsundwana, who has now bagged his second league goal of the campaign.
With both sides pushing for the go-ahead goal in the second half, Komphela looked to his bench by throwing on Olwethu Ncube for Malinga with 25 minutes left on the clock.
The substitution paid off for the home side as Ncube restored Arrows' advantage with 15 minutes to play with a powerful header in the box.
