With Real Madrid duo Karim Benzema and Luka Modric having been linked with a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has now issued a firm response regarding the duo's future at the club.

Al Nassr have been linked with a host of older big-name stars since signing Ronaldo, including former rivals and teammates of his such as FC Barcelona's Sergio Busquets and Paris Saint-Germain pair Keylor Navas and Sergio Ramos.

Various reports have suggested the Middle East club is looking to lure more high-profile players to the Saudi Pro League in the near future as they look to unbalance rivals Al Hilal's dominance in the country, with that team having won five of the past six league titles in the Gulf state.

Benzema and Modric have also been heavily linked with potential moves to Al Nassr, especially as they are both set to become free agents at the end of the season should they not sign extensions with Los Blancos.

Their manager Ancelotti was recently quizzed about potentially seeing his two stalwarts join the Riyadh outfit, and the Italian tactician made his expectations regarding the matter quite clear.

"I don't think Benzema or Modric are going to come to my office, because I don't think they need my advice," Ancelotti said, per the Daily Mirror.

"The legends of Madrid have to stay in Madrid, and retire here.

Ronaldo's contract in the Middle East is set to keep him there beyond his 40th birthday, but his current manager Rudi Garcia recently claimed that the Portugal superstar would retire in Europe.

“He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe,” the Frenchman said.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus is the latest big-name footballer to be linked with a move to Al Nassr.
